or so they say
1st gpl soon, N2 w/ trucks this christmas, N3 mid next year
at best we will be running CART2 in 1 and 1/2 years
If I am remembering correctly thats a wait of 4 years inbetween CART and
typically there has been a 1 to 1/2 year wait for NASCAR
look at it this way:
inbetween ICR2 and the next CART papy has made/will have made:
4 NASCAR products :N2, BGN, N2 w/trucks, N2000
1 air racing game (they thought that would sell better than CART2?)
1 old time racing sim (same here)
I doubt that reno air races and GPL will sell as many as a CART2 based
in the new physics would have (I may get flamed for this)
-besides, if papy is doing what is in the best interest of their $$$
that doesn't mean I have to like it  I really with CART2 had been given
better priority!

You are forgetting who owns alot of stock in Papyrus.  Bill France, Jr.
Look at it this way, if you do have to upgrade your machine to run the
title you're waiting for, it will cost much less when it comes out.

I also believe one other reason we haven't seen an update to the CART
series recently is that Papyrus didn't secure a license from CART for
this year I'm sure of and possibly last year or next year.  I'm not
sure if Microsoft held an exclusive license with CART or not for CPR
for these years, but I would not be at all surprised if this were
true.  I also think that Papyrus may have been hedging their bets a
bit since the open-wheel series in the US had been in a bit of
disarray last year with the IRL split.

Are you sure?

Then why does SEGA have the rights to the Daytona track and not Papyrus for the
NASCAR2 game?

Ignorance is bliss...Don't abuse the privilege.

Diversification.  Don't put all your eggs in France, someone might chase
you and drive you into a bridge support.
