Hi all!

First of all I wanna send big THANK YOUs to Dave Noonan for playing
Santa Claus and bringing us this excellent converter. Keep up the good
work, Dave!

Second I wonder if anyone has yet broken the 0:49 at Talladega. After
some 60 or 70 laps of practise in the Lotus, using a very stiff and deep
setup, I'm able to run constant low 49'er laps with a 0:49.26 as pb. Is
this good or should I tweak my setup a little more? It now runs
perfectly near the rev-limiter and I think that lengthening the 5th gear
won't bring that much. Any tips?

Regards
Crash

The Eagle is the Fastest at Dega. With low 48's with out a draft and
possible high 47's in a draft. But I think your lotus times are good. :)

   Ditto!

I converted the track and jumped into a race last night.  With the
default setup, slightly altered gearing, and just a few laps practice,
I was able to do 49.4 with the Eagle.  A. Windle did 48.52 in practice
and a 48.24 fast lap in the race (also with the Eagle).  The fastest
Lotus was Chris Moses with a 48.93 (sixth in qual behind 5 Eagles).
Looks like the Eagle is the hot setup (and what else would you want to
run on a big old oval? :).

"But in a way, fear is a big part of racing, because if there was
nothing to be frightened of, and no limit, any fool could get into
a motor car and racing would not exist as a sport." -- Jim Clark
