Mitch, you are a fast and fair racer so no hard feelings. If your initial
reply had not been an FU it would have ended there. I admittedly shouldn't
have said anything since that never solves anything and just ends up in what
happened. Going back and forth at each other. You didn't jump it, but you
sure did anticipate it. You had dropped off my tail, but after seeing the
replay it was due to the front runners not maintaining the pace speed after
the pace car dropped off the track which seems to happen a lot. I think
everyone, myself included, can do a better job keeping the pack together
during cautions. This is especially true at the shorter tracks where you can
lose laps if you need repairs and the field is strung out on the caution. I
was irritated because after you passed me just past the flag stand and
passed second place going into one, he slowed to give you room and I slowed
for him which gave the guy behind me the IMO not so good idea to dive under
me going into the sharp right hander which ended badly for me. Most of our
cautions were caused by people trying to pass to soon and in the wrong
places.

Sorry again to anyone that got caught in my warp/freeze with about 8 laps to
go. I was running fourth coming T3 and the screen just froze. I then screen
refreshed and I was inside Larry's car back in 16th or so. That is the
second time in two weeks that this has happened. I will have to investigate
it before I run Rascar again. Dave must have given it to me. Have fun at
Daytona next week. I'll be there watching the real deal instead.

I noticed that too.  It seemed like someone up front was brake-checking just
before the start.

But I was SO far back I couldn't really see what was going on :)

Aaah....was that for Guido, John? :)
I don't have a [1] in my car-file name.

Bruce.

If I made that accusation during a race I would almost expect that kind of
response ;).  Ive been jumped before and that sure wasnt.  It was already a
miserable race but that really set me off.  I cant quite reach/see my kb
while racing and was going to question your reasoning in a more sane manner
but by the time I reached the kb my patience had worn through.  Sorry for
that response regardless the situation.

I did pass a few guys during the many restarts but I figured it was due to
them either starting in 2nd gear or my fresher tires.  Either way it was
just hard racin, not cheatin ;)

Enjoy Daytona!

Yes, that was just for guido.

*You* have to rename your car file.

Done so...and for those who want it, I've uploaded it now.

Bruce.

Bruce,
It was only your *local* copy that was incorrectly named...  (check your
player info settings)
The one you had posted previously was correctly named.

Aaaaaaahhhhhhh!
Thanks, Ed.
I'd fixed the local info too, before uploading the new file.

Bruce.

Yeah, I was worried when that happened. My tyre temps soared to 125degrees
:-)

I was guilty of this on one occasion. Please put it down to me being a
European rookie in only his second race and not fully conversant with NASCAR
procedure. Lesson learned..
