By "esses" I meant the "S" shaped turn 11 (the tight twisty bit which the AI go through like
their on E or something. These I can take around 130-140mph. As for 1:26, the hot-lap on
CompuServe is already approaching mid 1:27 and the game's hardly released. Most of the top guys
haven't spent a lot of time there - when they do I expect the record to fall quite a bit.

Australia is quite a tricky circuit, there are a LOT of difficult corners. Most tracks have only
one or two really tough corners which makes making a good lap is relatively easy (Long Beach for
example). Australia has at least 7 corners which are more difficult than average - when you hit a
lap (eventually!) with all of these correct time will be phenomenal. I've done a 1:29 and I
would only the first two chicanes and the esses I was really happy with.

Cheers!
John

I know exactly what you mean about putting a good lap together. Most
of the time I will get some of the turns right, but it really does
take a special lap on this track with all the turns virtually perfect
to get a decent time. My best time is now 1:29.630. I've lost count of
how many laps I've done on this circuit now but this is virtually the
only one I've driven since I got the game a week ago. I find my best
laps when I'm *not* trying - I think some sort of Zen trance might
help improve my lap times !
