Race Driver used for circuit preview

Just watching the local 10 network coverage of the v8 supercars clipsal 500 (on
the old adelaide f1 circuit) and they used a Race Driver rendered version of the
track to show the layout.  Graphics were nice (if a little grainy!) but it
showed no physics (more a coded flyaround sequence).  It didn't slow down for
corners etc and it was quite funny listening to Greg Murphy's voiceover saying
how tight a corner was as the sim graphics went around it at 240k's.

I'm not convinced the sounds was actually from the game either.

Most importantly in an unreleased game, - the track layout was correct (and this
year's modifications were in place).  Bring it on Codemasters...

That was ***just like Channel 9 & F1RS a couple of years ago.  Bring back
the actual V8 - if I didn't know the track like the back of my hand then
every corner would almost have looked the same.

I was laughing too at the corners esp the hairpin! hehe

If you watch it, it started out okay (I think the sound was an actual lap in
real life) and they matched the sound to the track demo.  But then at T4
things started to miscue so by the time they get to the hairpin, it's out of
snyc and hence the slow corners at the start and the quickness of the
hairpain and Adelaide Park sections.
