n2002 almost a great idea.....

its cool to see it up and running, but with no way to discrimate against
those weird laps at certain tracks (ie martinsville - crash, shift r, pass
the sf line and get a lap time) how well can it work?

thoughts on how we can combat this? hows it handled in gplrank?

lol, sorry, only just re read the post :)

n2002 RANK almost a good idea......

with there still being problems at some tracks with regards to logging lap
times (witness those 19s laps at martinsville by cars fresh out of the pits
crossing the stripe for the first time since crashing out and shift 'r'ing
back to their pit box), and with no restrictor plate tonas etc its gonna be
tough to get accurate n2002 ranks. How are warp and bug laps weeded out in
gplrank?

Plus what exactly would hot lapping have to do with "ranking".

and what about mods to grip, tire temps etc.? They'd even work online on
Sierra.com, if you'd find a 'friendly' server.
