What a bummer, the interesting part was gobbled up by the ***monster. Here is
the *complete* post
I have read conflicting views on running NASCAR & ICR2 under Win95, so I decided
to do a little experiment with ICR2 (the released version) and share the results
with the group.
I am running a Micron P100/64Megs RAM/2MB Diamond Stealth 32 PCI (DRAM).
I kept all details consistant throughout the tests. I turned off object details
'cause driving past those filled grandstands just killed the frame rate.

Booted into DOS 0
FM Sound 1/2 Subjective, it skid marks appeared to
flicker off less often.
UNIVBE 2
So there we have it. If you are running Win95 and have a similarily configured
system, it would appear there is absolutely no advantage to rebooting into DOS.
The poxy FM sound doesn't buy you much (BTW, I like the sound of the other cars
better using FM sound, but my car sounds like a ***d fart). The UNIVBE
driver is a must.
