Which do you prefer GP1 or T2 ?

by Dan Allak » Wed, 18 Dec 1996 04:00:00

Hi There,

I`m looking at buying a steering wheel, my budget can only stretch to
the Trustmaster range. I can`t decide on a GP1 or T2. I have heard the
T2 is a good wheel, but the springs soon go on the peddles. I have
seen the GP1 in my local computer shop but unfortunately it wasn`t
hooked up to the computer, but the feel of the wheel and the hand
throttle and brake felt quite good.

Have you used both units?
What do you prefer?
Is it easy to accelerate, brake and change gear with the GP1?

I`m sure I`m not the only one that could benefit from some advice on
these two units, so please lets hear your comments.
Thanks in advance.

Best regards,
Dan.

I purchased the T2 about two weeks ago and think it's great. I had the
pleasure to use Thrustmaters GP1 the other day. IMO the GP1 is better for more
accurate control. The acceleration and braking are much tighter and intuitive
than T2's pedals. They both incoprorate the same steering mechanism.

IMO the feel of the GP1 is better and is cheaper to.

I own both & I concur with the above.  Gas and brake on the wheel is not
very
realistic though!
