 I was wondering how a  GeForce would do with my system, I'm holding off till
the end of the summer for a new cpu...:), a NICE cpu.
  But I haven't done any upgrades lately and I'm starting to get twitchy, I
still run V2 sli and have an old Diamond fire GL.
  I figured I could buy the GeForce and install in my new cpu. when I get it.
Think it would help much with GPL with the new patch?

484 thanks to a dual fan heatsink : ) and the difference was huge. Even
F12000 runs like a dream!

This isn't entirely relevant to your situation as I don't know how well your
V2 performs & don't play GPL but it does at least tell you that your system
will handle the GeForce nicely.
