Yes thats exactly what were saying.  Try driving a CART sim with the exact same
physics engine as GPL and youll see how hard they are to controll.  Heck wait
till N3.  It wont be as hard as GPL cause the cars weight  2-3 times what a 67
GP car did but its still not gonna ba a piece of cake.

Think back to the CART race at Nazereth 2 years ago (or Indy in 86, Pocono in
88, etc) and youll see how hard they are to controll.  Michael was leading
about 50 laps into the race and on a restart applied just a little to much
throttle and spun the thing into the wall.

Great point.  Also, think back a few years ago when two or three drivers crashed
right at the start of the Indy 500 when they tried to accelerate too quickly on
cold tires. Sure, some facets of 60's Formula 1 were probably harder, but driving
these beasts with massive horsepower is a delicate balancing act, no matter the era
or type of car.

All cars are easy to drive within a certain envelope. Hell Even I could
drive a Maclaren at 100mph. It's the last second or two where it becomes
increasingly difficult to be a real man.

->is as hard to control as a heap of heavy metal with virtually no grip

Er...... you wouldn't be doing 3:14-3:30 at Spa, in a CART sim, you could
lap Spa in around 2 mins, the game would be AS difficult because i would be
a totally different car! Are you trying to say you could hop right into a
Champ Car right now? Simply becuase you can drive your road car??
No... Champ Cars have their own problems, the thing is, you have wings..
yes, but you have to get rid of them for top speed, real-life (and hopefully
the sim) Isn't easy, driving racecars IS difficult, i nearly broke my back
going 60mph in a kart, they are difficult.

If you drive slowly, they are easy, if you drive on the limit, you are in
danger.
