I started buying the NFS series back with NFS2.

The graphics are nice. Sounds aren't quite as good.

The physics is a bit like HP2, the cars are oversteery, and slow
down if the rear end steps out, you can't drift them like the
muscle cars in GTLegends. Countersteering is proactive instead
of reactive, you countersteer before the rear end steps out.

I didn't see any replay feature in the demo. This would be
a step back from NFSU2 which at least has replays right after
a race.

There is still a limit of 4 players per race. I don't know how
the stats will work.

My prediction is that online attendance will be down to about
100 players in about 3 months after release.

I really like the pursuit mode; glad that's back again.

I like it its my first Need for Speed......Like others have said the lack of
replay is a bummer.
I've always  thought of it as arcadish so I avoided it ...... my loss ...its
a blast !

It seems like good arcadish fun. Probably not a buy for me though.I am glad
that the pursuit mode is back, that was what I liked most about the old
game. However, I always wished that they had made the differences in speed,
acceleration, and handling, between *** sports cars versus big heavy
underpowered police cruisers more realistic. Whats the point of having a
200MPH sports car if the police cars can stay up to speed with you. Make
them have to use strategy to stop you.

They already use road blocks and spike strips. Not sure what else they
could do?

If the demo is any indication of the finished product, then PASS on it.

Too bad it wasn't done by the same guys that did the first NFSU2, by
far the best in the NFS franchise.

The video is choppy and grainy, the physics very elementary and
unpredictable.   Doesn't look much better than the original NFSHP
as far as the flow.

The police are annoying, not in a believable way but in a stupid
way.   There is no police force anywhere in the world that will come at you
head on at 90mph in an attempt to ram you and stop you in a freakin' Jeep
Cherokee.

A sloppy suckfest from EA to skim some Christmas money.
