Midtown Madness - Any Voodoo Lock Ups Out There?

I have a metabyte Voodoo2 SLI setup with AMD 233 CPU running Win98..

Judging by the choice of graphics options, I would assume 3D acceleration is
offered only under the Direct3D API (no Glide support).

If I choose the recommended resolution of 640x480, areas of the screen are
truncated (just the top of the dash is visible) and some of the menus are
messed up (the bottom of the menu is truncated with some of the graphics
wrapped aroun to the left side. If I choose 1024x768 it's much worse.  It
seems the only way I can fit everything on the screen is to choose 512x384
(I think the numbers are accurate.)

Also, I get a lockup if I choose to go onto the next race.

I haven't heard one complaint about graphics bugs - am I alone on this????

Midtown Madness - Any Voodoo Lock Ups Out There?

Hello,
I can't even get my 12MB Diamond Monster 3D II to work in the game. I have
to run it in software mode. Every other game I have runs perfect with my card.
Thanks,
Aaron Markham *Kart44*

Try deleting and re-installing the Voodoo cards from your computer. Worked
for me and it runs great at 1024x768 with all graphics on highest settings.
This was the only way I could get the game to recognize the cards.

Yeah, you had the right idea. I didn't actually have to pull cards or delete
drivers. I installed the reference drivers from the 3dfx site and then
reinstalled the Metabyte drivers on top of that. Doing so, resolved the
graphics anomolies but the game would still periodically crash to the
desktop after that. I reinstalled my MX300 drivers and that was the the
final solution. It works great now!!
