New SB Live Drivers

Hey everyone. Just wanted to let you know that Creative just released new
drivers for all of the Live cards. I'm dl'ing them right now. I'll let you
know if they clear up the problems with the sound in GPL. I sure hope so...
Anyway, here's a link for your clicking pleasure.

I have a terrible memory. In fact my memory's so bad I can't remember how
long it's been since I've forgotten anything.

I just installed them and ran GPL, works great so far! I think we have a
winner!

I installed these drivers and I still get crackling. My LWFF is doing the
spiking thing now, anyone have a clue as to why this would happen? FF seems
a bit stiffer too. P4 1.5 Mhz, SoundBlaster Live!5.1 Platinum, Win XP Pro,
plenty of RAM, Asus P4T mobo. Thanks for posting the link.

Are you using usb or the gameport to connect your wheel? The sound with the
new drivers is now fine for me, but control with my LWFF usb is still spotty
at best. Sometimes I have to hit the shift paddles a number of times before
it will shift gears in both GPL and N4, no problem in any other game. Since
it's usb I doubt it's sound card related, but none the less it is
problematic enough to keep my from enjoying driving GPL and N4.

As for your LWFF, I have the older one and found that it will spike in GPL
if you set the overall forces over 100%. With the forces set to 100% my game
works fine now other than the shifters not working like they should in GPL
and N4. The SoundBlaster drivers are great and I now have no more sound
problems in GPL.

Right now I'm having amnesia and deja vu at the same time. I think I've
forgotten this before.

Thanks nice info. My GPL and N4 return to favorite sims!
Setting the force to 100% from 150% cures the accidental discharges.
Great...

Man, what a piss-poor company Creative has become...

I don't even use my SBLive's any more (moved to much better TBSC Cards), but
wanted to get them for the future, just in case I needed to use one of them
in an emergency.
