Wheel and Joystick coexistence?

by Jeffrey S. Pac » Fri, 31 Dec 1999 04:00:00

I have a TM Pro Digital Wheel (USB) and a MS Sidewinder 3D Pro (Gameport).
The Sidewinder has been installed and configured successfully.  After
installing the wheel, the Sidewinder can no longer be found.  I believe that
because they are both 3-axis controllers they both require ID1.  I am
running Win98.

Is there any way (even if I need to purchase a new Joystick) that I can
force a wheel and joystick to live peacefully with each other?

Any suggestions appreciated.

I don't think the controller ID has anything to do with it. It may have more
to do with the profiler software that you may be running with the
Sidewinder. I currently have a 4-axis TSW on ID2 with an ActLabs Force RS
(3-axis) on ID1 and everything works fine. I can even use them together in
GPL.
