I raced the GTQ on MAX difficulty and one every race in first place.  I
still didn't find any new cars or tracks like the book said to do.  Is there
something I am missing.

New GT1 cars should be available to buy.  Start a GT1 season and new tracks
will be available.

I beleive that the length of the race matters.  If you run longer, I am not
sure which length you must run, then the cars should be available for
purchase.
