NFS3 - some relief from TOCA and GPL

I have some queries about NFS III

First: Why don't the lights actually light your path? I can go into
a tunnel and not be able to see were I'm going - the only option is to
hit
the wall of the tunnel. No one else seems to have mentioned this, but
I find it impossible to play like this. Is there a solution?

Second : If you are a cop, you can lay a spike strip - and put your
patrol
car ajacent to it and wait for the racers - works every time! They don't

learn, and they make no attempt to dodge it even if there is space to
avoid it.

Third : Is it really worth upgrading my graphics card to obtain the
***pits?

Go to http://www.racesimcentral.net/ and download their Light patch, it will allow
you to use your lights effectively in tunnels.

Actually occaisionally they will attempt to go around but they always slam
right into my car so it doesn't matter.

If you prefer playing with a***pit, yes.
