: Does anyone have any idea whether this will be a game for the PC or for
: Sony's Playstation?

According to PC Gamer again (rather an informative issue, this one),
Sony policy is always to delay PC versions until after PlayStation ones.
So, it will almost certainly come out on the PlayStation first, but
whether a PC version will follow is anybody's guess at the moment.

What platform is it based on, the Playstation? Or PC?

I read and short article about forthcoming FIA Formula 1 racing
game/simulation by Sony.  The article mentions that it will have
"mathematically correct car response and collision" (sounds good),
some management aspects, 17 tracks (so it is based on 1995 season) and

Post in haste, repent at leisure...

Upon reading PC Gamer more thoroughly, I now discover that it has been
shelved indefinitely.  Perhaps they saw a demo of GP2 and decided to
throw in the towel? :-)

[P.S. sorry for the previous post with no content - blame MS Windows,

Hey, thanks for telling us! Does that mean that we can stop developing
it then?

I wish someone had told us first!!! :-)

I have heard a little bit more of information from within the rgvsony group,
but this is FOR THE PLAYSTATION VERSION!

The programming company is Bizarre Creations based in the UK.

The game will have all tracks, all the racers, a two-player link up mode, and
possibly a split-screen mode (if time permits them).  There will be support
for the NegGCon controller as well as the Mad Catz steering wheel system.
There will be a rev-limiter option (YES!) as well as an arcade and a sim mode.

There is a person named Sarah who is doing (I think) the music for the game,
who participates on RGVSony often and she is very helpful, although they have
not yet formally announced the product so she has to remain somewhat quiet
about the game for now.  She did ask for input on features for the game, though.

   Hope this helps,
   Davey

I liked the sound of this one too, until I heard it was "shelved"...
pg. 27 Feb PC Gamer (yes, PC). Sad news, but could it have held up
against GP2? Maybe they've just gone back to the drawing board for a
while. And here's hoping Murray does some voice over for at least one
racing sim, one day - whatever it is...

Sorry we can't be more precise at the moment, but the game is
definitely not shelved! We are currently in the process of completing
the PlayStation version, but can't announce anything about other
formats at the moment.

Murray has already recorded the voice-overs - he really got into the
spirit of the thing - a true professional! If you're interested, when
the official press release from Sony comes out, I'll post it here.

I saw an article about this game in the UK Playstation Magazine.
There were some very vague screen shots, but the description did sound
particulalry enticing...
