GP2 New Tracks Query

Hi all,
Been having some fun the last few days after re-installing GP2 on my new
pc.. I forgot how good this sim is and despite it's age it still holds it's
own against the best of them. Anyway, what I want to know is that with all
these wonderful new tracks available on the web is it possible to change the
in-game interface to reflect the new tracks. For instance I am in the
process of downloading all the new tracks for the forthcoming 2000 season as
I want to try to run a championship in conjunction with the real races.
However, although running the tracks isn't a problem things like the track
selection screens, etc still show details of the original tracks, it would
be really nice to have this reflect the newly installed tracks. Is their a
utility that enables this??

Many thanks for any help.

You need a "Track Manager" utility - there are several different ones at
www.grandprix2.com . I use "GP2 Track Handler" by Viktor Gars but several
others are just as good. You can put all your tracks in a separate
directory and use the program to choose which 16 you want to run, and also
enter things like Country Name, Country Adjective, Circuit Name, also
Track Length (used in the Track Info screen and also used for calculating
average lap speeds) and Tyre Wear.

Hope this helps

In addition to the other post: if you use the GP2LAP extension (which
you SHOULD use, anyway!, it will dynamically rip the proper name from
the new trackfile and "paste" them into the screens.
