I have been reading up on the game lately and just wanted to know a few
things.  Like how does the car react when you drive into a sand trap?
Also how are the pits?  Are there moving crews?  I read somewhere here
on ras that there where 10 sec. penalties for speeding.  What about for
jumping the start?  Are there real waving yellows where it is illegal to
pass?  Do they even have this in real F1 or only in Cart?  Looks like a
great game, I just have to get my Pure 3D.  When will it be released in
the states if it hasn't been already.

It's everything you said except for the yellow flag: you could pass someone
on yellow.

Hi

Fairly realistic I guess, you lose a lot of speed and time, but it is
always possible to make it
back on the track. I s'pose it would have been more realistic if sometimes
you get stuck, this
would have been bad for the gameplay tho'

Yes you see the tyres being changed and the fuel hose being
attached/detached. Nice touch

  I read somewhere here

Yes again, if you enable the false start option, then jump the start you
have to go into the pits
on the next lap for a 10 secs penalty.

 Are there real waving yellows

Yes again,  when you go off the track, I have seen this a few times now :-)

 where it is illegal topass?
Do they even have this in real F1 or only in Cart?
I'm not an expert but I don't think think there are any illegal places to
pass in F1.

Looks like a great game, I just have to get my Pure 3D.

It is a stupendous game, it has got one or 2 slight quirks, and an
occasional Crash problem,
but they are easily forgiven considering the depth of the sim and the
graphics quality.

With a 3DFX  board the graphics are excellent, the realism of the bad
weather races is
spot on, hard to see how it could have been done better.

When will it be released in the states if it hasn't been already.

I'm in the UK, but I think I read a post saying it was available from a
particular supplier in the
States ? You might even have bought it by now. I have been very impressed
by it.

You can't pass under a yellow flag in real Formula 1 racing or you get a
penalty, but appenrently, this is not
applied in F1RS so far.

Bye Coco
