F1RS: Tyre compounds

Could anyone tell me whether it is possible to have different tyre
compounds on the front and rear, e.g. C's on the front & B's on the
rear. ?? I am finding that I am wearing my rear tyres alot quicker
than my front tyres.
Maybe different compound tyres on the front & rear could stop the
built-in 'front-wheel drive' characteristics (understeer!!) of the
driving model?
  Thanks in advance.

No, not possible, just like real life, don't forget the game is a
simulator !!!

Work on your setup, tire type C should last you for at least 18 to 19
laps !!!

Bye Coco

Do you mean that the F1 rules do not allow you to have different
compounds tyres?? as it obviously is possible in real life to have two
different compound tyres on a vehicle! :)
  18 or 19 laps around Spa-Francorchamps?!!

Exactly, all 4 tyres are the same compound, the drivers must choose there
tyres just before qualifying, the kind of compound use for qualifying,
will be and must be the same for the race. But this is one aspect F1RS
doesn't apply yet, maybe with F1RS 2 due out at the end of the year !!!
It's like the  implementation of the yellow flag in qualifying and race is
not fully implemented yet, since you can pass a car under yellow and not
get penalized for it, and in qualifying you can do a fast, when in real
life, you will get a penalty for it. In race passing under yellow flag
will get you a stop & go penalty, in real life !!!

If you are destroying you rear tyres faster than the front, setup is not
good, you must correct the problem, or it could be that your are spinning
your rear tyres too much, or need to adjust your driving !!!!

Bye Coco

Do you mean that the drivers can mix compounds this year?
I don't think so... I'm sure I misunderstood you.
