F1RS - Tyre Wear

F1RS - Tyre Wear

I'm half way through a full season, and one that bothers me is the amount of
tyre wear I get on demanding circuits, e.g. Barcelona. I have to make an
extra tyre change stop which loses me the race.
I always use compound B in a race. There is obviously something in my setup
that is causing this, too much camber, to great a steering angle?
Any ideas?

Overdriving would be another thing to think about. Many real cars are slower
because they need to conserve tire wear. The net result is the same though
:-)

Try using Bridgestones instead of the Goodyears :-)

Seriously.....downforce and camber settings have a big effect on the
wear but the greatest of all is wheelspin.

You could also try the option of turning relative wear "off" and see if
there is any difference.

Also,  the steering lock setting has a big effect on tire wear in
F1RS,

Yeah....doesn't it ever!?
I noticed that yesterday....testing at Melbourne.  And it was
interesting that the wear on the fronts increased as the lock was
increased.  another bit of realism?
