This is now a big improvement over the anything goes system, this way
everyone is in there own class.  I only use TC, SH (autoup) & CA so I was a
bit miffed at competing with all those max aiders.  I also reckon it could
be an incentive for some people to reduce aids used in order to find a class
with more competitors in.  Overall a good solution to a tricky problem.

David,
You didn't know that the new telemetry accepts *some*
laps after the game disqualifies them? Try it.
That's a mighty big oversight, and untill that gets fixed this CD stays in
the recycle bin.

So the only reason you play the game is to hotlap and submit your
times to the world record boards?

That seems so...boring?

One of the main reasons I binned this game shortly after getting it was the
fact I along with 50% of global users will still be modem in 2005 and with
no cable options, and no certainty that ISDN works with it, it seems a
hotlap game is all it really is.

Ive seen a few old GPLers playing it a bit, but seems only a few are of the
masses have taken it up seriously...

I like hotlapping, but there has to be a decent online factilty for the
masses...

Roll on RL :)

Yeah, I find the whole hotlapping system in F12002 completely flawed.  I
agree with Rik - Simon did a much better job by himself with F12001.  As
soon as EA stepped in, they made a complete botch of it.

Indeed they did.
Did EA pay Simon and dumb down the telemetry, or did they steal his ideas?
(and yes Jason, I do race, but the AI get soooooo boring, and as David
pointed out the multiplayer is ***too.)
