I'm talking about the GP3 2000 AI - not GP3. I hardly played GP3 so I
can't judge that AI, but the GP3 2000 AI certainly doesn't drive
straight through you. They are agressive as hell but I like how they
manage to avoid most of the accidents, make room when you re-enter the
track..

Well, I never got to see that version because the ***s at Hasbro only
made it availalbe to Europe and it doens't work on the US version.

When I was in highschool (76-79) in Saratoga, CA I had a paper route. 300
and some odd papers, it was the route that could not be handled by your
average kid on a bicycle. It was all the mountain subscriptions from Hwy. 9
to the hills over Stevens Creek reservoir. It was well over 100 miles. For
instance, one paper went to the top of a twisty single lane road... 7 miles
from the next nearest paper. I had several 620s. My favorite was the 74 for
sure. It handled the best and looked the coolest. Needles to say, I spent a
lot of hours in those trucks going very quickly. I learned almost all my
tricks on that paper route, and loved every minute of it.

The second I got into a slide in F12K1 I flashed back to those days. As I
said, the vehicle dynamics are great in F12K1, just not what I would expect
an F1 car to feel like.

Well, I guess they do slide a bit much in the corners, but I reinstalled GP3
today and while it does feel pretty good, I still like the feel of F12001
better. Don't how to describe it except to say it feels more alive.

It's even better in GP3. Like their real counterparts in F1. They learn
where You like to overtake them. But that doesn't mean they always see You.
One time when I got out of the pitlane in Silverstone I was still driving
behind the yellow line when I was being hit by Jean Alesi. It was a
spectacular accident. I was very furious. How he couldn't see me. But also
very important I couldn't see him coming. And when I looked at the replay I
saw we where in the dead spot from eachother. So somehow it was a legal
raceaccident. Very clever indeed.

What's the difference between the 'analogue' and 'digital' parts of the page?
I didn't see an explanation...  Does that refer to type of controller used?

GPLRank - under construction...

If it's anything like the old Hall of Fame (HoF /
HOF2), then yes.

I recall the battles on GP2 being quite interesting
there - a few tracks, notably Monza and Hockenheim,
were as quick or possibly quicker on keys (with the
steering help, of course...)
