I use default because I don't have setup skill... :(

As Ash said, you should be getting 36fps. Check that the D3D patch is
running ok. What resolution are you using? FSAA on or off? Try dropping
to 1024x768.
hmm.. not sure. Double check that you installed EXACTLY as the readme
says to.
Try making a copy of the cars67 folder and introducing the new car
folders one at a time to narrow down which is causing the crash. Might
be the 16bit car skins from the GPLEA eagle as some people have trouble
with them.

No, you can run 3d wheels on vroc as long as you keep the fps up. I run
a really stripped down version of GPL for vroc races. 2 d wheels,
original track graphics. If something cool happens that you saved as a
reply you can just copy it into your lush version to see it in all its glory.

He seems to have taken it down for the moment. There's a new version due
very soon anyway.

I get 36 when I'm alone or there are just a few cars in my view. The res. is
1280X1024.
D3D is installed and selected in the game menu. I have not altered anything
in core.ini
My setup is W2k SP2  DX8.1  P3 800Mhz 512Mb Radeon AllinWonder.
Everything on and the detail slider all to the right.
I'm not sure what FSAA is but my guess is that it's off. Ill see if I can
find time for more troubleshooting tonight.
Is the OpenGL patch a route to go???

With 2D wheels it doesnt lock up imedeately like with the 3D wheels. It
locked up when I totaled the car, and there was no other cars in my view. I
was driving the Lotus.

glory.

How do you keep two versions? Rename directories?

Go down to 1024x768. It'll look virtually the same and increase your
frame rate.

get rid of clouds and drop the mirrors to showing only cars and track.
Also, try bringing the detail slider in about 1-2cm from the right. You
should get some more fps like that. I reckon you should be up to 36fps
now with a full grid.

FSAA is full screen anti aliasing. Set in the video card
(display/appearance) control panel. That can rob fps too.

hmm..... not sure

yes. Just copy and past the GPL folder and call it GPL online or
something. I've got about 4 or 5 install for various things. One I use
just for trying new stuff to make sure it works first......
