In a previous post I mentioned the tow truck, pit crews that stopped sp
you could beat the pace car but I forgot the best thing...SPOTTERS...If
something happened on the track a message appears letting you know. It
even lets you know how serious the problem is. 'Car Thwonked in turn
four' ,'Car spinning in turn one' ,'Big trouble in the tri-oval'. It
saved me from getting into several wrecks.

Papyrus - please please please put out a patch with this stuff in it.

By the way, passing two wide in the tri-oval doesn't work. Sorry to
whoever I wrecked, got a little greedy.

First - If you are still having trouble finding Hawaii, I got mine from
the Pits original site.

Now...I logged in to the nascar network last night and I have one thing
to say...ITS AWESOME...Tow trucks are here, pit crews that stop repairs
so you can beat the pace car are here. You have to check this out. I
only have a 14400 modem and everything was smooth. Great job Papyrus.

I have only one question. Does anyone know if this will stay a long
distance call or is Papyrus going to change the service to a
subscription ? My long distance phone bill can't handle the amount of
time I would like to stay on.

Race on.
John Parr

PS - Papyrus...How about releasing a patch with the tow truck and smart
pit crews for us when were not onlone.

can't get over agressive up on MP ... real people don't drive anywhere near
the same as the AI ... after while running w/ the same guys tho, you'll pick up
on the styles of different drivers and actually find running w/ real people
much much better than the AI.

while we're on the subject of user IDs ... :) It would really be appreciated by
all of us if you guys would user you name in/as you ID ... it's pretty tough
running w/ a guy called 'crashnburn' and not wondering if he's really gonna do
that :) also I'd much rather address you by your real name in post/pre race
chats than by a handle ... makes us all a bit more accountable and personable.

thanks
Jim Warren

I agree with you, I signed on using my nickname from the leagues but
thought I should change it afterward. Does anyone know how to change
it? I can't seem to find out how. Of course if you have to do this
online it will be awhile, AT&T is going to love me this month.

While I'm here, I would just like to say Congrats to the Papyrus guys.
You have a great online race network setup and I look forward to it
exiting beta testing and going to a pay service (or whatever is worked
out).

Also thanks for checking this Newsgroup and answering many of the post
that were here. It's nice to see a company respond to the people who
support it buy using their products and services. Keep up the good
work.

Race on and may your engine never fail.

All you need to do is delete the file userinfo.cfg and then resign up for the
service, this time using your new ID.

Here are some simple steps for those of you in the back of the room:

1. Make sure you are in your nascar directory (c:\nascar)
2. type:  delete userinfo.cfg <enter>
3. type:  eterm <enter>
4. Sign on again, just like you did the first time; Pick a new user ID.

True, but when you do this your skill level is reset.  To my knowledge, there is no
way to change your UserName and keep you current skill level.

You are correct, Eric.  Skill Levels are tied to User ID's; if you get a
new User ID, you will start with a skill level of zero.
