Start Here, http://www.racesimcentral.net/~delbert3/ helped me a bunch to get started,
and you'll want a 3rd party paint/image program, I downloaded Paint Shop Pro
for free, it works fine. Have Fun,

N4 paintshop tutorials?

Any good Photo editor program that will read a .tga file is better.
I have both Adobe PhotoShop & Paintshop Pro. You should be
able to find an older version for almost nothing.. They have great
tips for Adobe Photoshop online.. Thom_j.
