F1-C Annoying intro

I find that having to listen to that "Ea Sports blah blah blah" intro is
really annoying (petty, yes, but still grating). In F1-2002 you used to be
able to rename a couple of files to get rid of it but they've changed how
it. Anyone know how to dump the intro?
Thanks

Rename the EAIntro.bik and Eas.bik files in the 'movies' directory.

Just delete them. They're right on the CD if you ever want them again.

I find hitting escape to be pretty effective :)

Escape doesn't work on the EA Sports one...it is extremely grating and
annoying (in all of their titles) so I for one am glad you can delete the
files ands be done with it.

Spacebar doesn't work either.  Are you telling me you can interrupt the EA
Sports announcer with your space bar?

I think some of you are talking about a different segments of the intro.
There's the EA Sport logo then it fades to the movie segment.  Can you
remove the EA Sports logo intro?  No keypresses seem to bypass it.  The
spacebar and Esc key both work to bypass the opening movie.

as it was pointed out in some other thread: simply rename the
relevant .bik-files or whatever the file extension is to
another name. I think the EA one is appropriately called
"eas.bik" or something. The big one in there (9MB) is the intro
movie.

It works on mine.

When it starts, I hit escape, and it goes away.

Yeah, I think I'm talking about the opening movie.

As for the EA Sport Logo, I think the game is loading at this point so it
probably wouldn't be much of an accomplishment to get rid of it.

Don't see why there is an ongoing issue here.  Just rename the files and be
done with it!

Well that's just it, Iain!!!!!!

Why rename them, when you can delete them?!!!!
