I'll just say that I never saw what you just wrote.  Have a nice day.

Happens to me all the time - don't worry about it. Sometimes I make
a new PB on the first fast lap. The next day I can't put down a single
clean lap. *Unagi*

I can run clean laps, but they're 2-3 seconds off my PB.  WTF?

2-3 seconds is a lot (depending on the track, on the Ring it's normal
:) but I do have the same, and I think most people do..
One day I'm breaking pb's and the next day I can't even get close.
Frustration builds up which leads to even worse laptimes.. sucks when
that happens on a league day :)

Because a PB shouldn't be THAT far off what you're normally capable of.  You
should at least be close, and improve on it when you put together the perfect
lap.  IMO...

I agree. If you can't get within a second or so of your PB (on the shorter
tracks) on a fairly regular basis then that lap isn't very representative of
your overall ability. It may have just been the gods shining down on you
that day :(

Makes me mad that I didn't run EVERY track in EVERY car.  I probably could have
even dropped my monster rank under 300...<sigh>
