I've got the Dos version of ICR2 and I've only recently got Internet access.

Where can I get the update to allow me to convert ICR2 dos to ICR2 Win95?

Thanks in advance,

David Cane

Oh, and I saw that it was on the Sim Project site,
but the link is to a non-existent file, I checked in the ftp site, so where
is it?

Seriously, 99% of the people who converted Icr2 from DOS to Win95 went back
to DOS. There is no good point of doing this. The software crashes many
times, there is a low framerate, and the menus are perfect like Icr2 DOS
are.  The ONLY good thing, is the paintkit, but it still stinks.

Don't get the Win95 patch, it's not worth the download IMHO. Many people can
agree with me on this.  ICr2 DOS has a perfect framerate, and the best
simple menu you can possibly have.

The Sierra Sports website should have that update, but....
1) it is now listed as CART RACING not ICR2
2) Most people who have used the Win95 version say it is buggy and slower
3) CART/ICR2 has no network capability so if your switching to Win95 for
muliplayer, then sorry your out of luck.
4) If you have a Rendition based video card, you only get the enhanced 3d
tracks from the Rendition version, not the Win95.

You will need Nascar2 or Nascar1.  Any other website who offer tracks are
illegal, since they are making available some Papyrus code copyrighted.

Sorry aboout the broken link...I was sure I either had the file there,
or had at least linked to the Sierra ftp...I'll try to have it fixed
later tonight.  Thanks for the info, BTW.

Cheers!

Marc
