NR1999: Dover Setup--Help!

by mets4 » Sat, 11 Sep 1999 04:00:00

To all cyper crew chiefs,

Been playing these NASCAR games for forever but have yet to master one of my
favorite tracks, the Monster Mile.  My setup is very comfortable, but not
worthy of victory lane.  I just ran a 200 lap race, which went caution free,
and I finished a personal best seventh eleven seconds behind the winner.  I
qualify in the rear consistently, but my setup will get me to the front.
After about twenty laps I can really get hooked up.  Here's my setup:

Tires:  RF 49; RR 48: LR 47; LF 46
Shocks: RF 85; RR 80; LR 95; LF 95
Camber: +0.50 / -2.80
Gears: 1/9.10; 2/7.50; 3/5.30; 4/4.00
Lock: 9
Spoiler: 70
Front/Rear 48.8
Left/Right: 54.2
Cross: 50.2

I have a bit of a push off the corners right after new tires.  I have tried
Lowering the LF pressure and softening the LF shock slightly--independently
and in tandem--but then I don't have the same line thoughtout  the bottom of
the turns.

Any suggestions that I can try?  Top ten just isn't enough for me.  I've
been at this damn setup since NASCAR Racing the original WAY BACK when it
first came out, and now I'm looking for assistance.  I need to conquer this
track.  As Jake and Elwood Blues would say, "I'm on a mission from God."
