Any program that alters the screen resolution will do that...unless you have
decent video card drivers that anticipate this sort of problem and
"remember" where to put your icons back when you return to your "regular"
desktop. Check your video card drivers and accessories/options.

(dirt bikes, rat bikes, rental car abuse...)
I had the icon-rearranging problems with my Diamond Viper 330
and CART, but I downloaded the latest drivers and the problem
was solved. (Actually, Diamond has released another updated
driver since the one that fixed that problem... and they will be
releasing yet another update when Riva/nVidia release the
OpenGL drivers... Diamond has pretty good support if you ask
me...)

I have exactly the same video cards as you--why don't I have a problem??

We are the Hosh! You will be assimilated! Lower your defences
and surrender! Your technological and biological distinctiveness
will be added to our own. Your culture will be adapted to
service us. Resistance is futile. Have a nice &*($ing day!
Exactly the res. and colour depth that I use too...it is your Mystique
drivers that will be causing any problems, so check them...
