To which I reply:

First of all, one doth not need be an aol'er to acteth like one.

Secondly, a: So what? It's only a game. b: With his attitude
I wouldn't want him on the same track as me anyway.

And third, Which just goes to prove that boneheads come in all shapes,
        sizes, colors, genders, and ages.

Additionally, Discussing racing sims?????? Looks to me more like they
were not doing much but swearing, ranting, raving, and doing
their very best to draw flames and stir up BS between people
        like you and me.

And BTW, if what I was doing is a waste of bandwith then what do you
call the screeching that was going on in r.a.s. between them,
as well as your note to me. If there was simple discussion of
topic
going on I wouldn't have said a thing. But the reply I posted
to
their yelling match was perfectly deserved.
If this is considered a waste of bandwith I apologize, but IMHO
comments
like these have to be responded to.

Sincerly

<whole lot of absolute ***deleted>

Why is that some people are never satisfied?  To you who complained that
the patch didn't save your controller config:  Just how long does it take
to reconfigure?  Is your life really so busy that you can't spare two
minutes to reconfigure?  And if that's the case, why are you bothering to
play games at all?  After all, I'm sure you have something better to
do...

And to you who complained about removing his mouse driver:  Funny how
no-one else has reported this problem, isn't it?  Funny how I've
installed the patch on 2 machines now without a hitch and I still keep
the mouse driver loaded....

You know what I think??  I think people should be required to get a
license to own a computer....But then again, look at all the idiots on
the real roads...

I know I'm going to get flamed for waste of bandwidth but ...

You said it!!

You're the living prove of that!

At least Pat respoded to you via mail you brought it to r.a.s again.

I suggest we ignore this Ron the Second and end this thread ...

Well the "mouse driver" problem is one with version 1.01, and it's REAL!
Not everybody is as "technically" inclined as you seem to be.  There are
even some computers out there that load a mouse driver if one is
detected on the mouse-bus (non-serial mouse).  Yeh, I know they can
unplug their mouse before they boot-up.  The point is that it is SLOPPY
programming to allow minor annoyances like these to crop up in a RETAIL
version of software.  Nowhere did I ever see an "a" or "b" in the
version numbers for alpha or beta.  We are paying for quality software.

Maybe we should thank Netscape for this new and improved trend of
releasing buggy software after buggy software.  At least with Netscape,
I don't have to pay for the beta versions.
