MOMO Racing wheel problem

by Harr » Thu, 30 Mar 2006 19:19:37

Dear readers,

I just got a Logitech MOMO racing wheel but i think it is defect. The
included *** software and Win XP doesn't recognise the wheel.

And when i connect the external power supply to the wheel i have no
green LED. And that isn't correct, is it ??

Even when the wheel is not connected to the pc, i must have a green
LED burning on the wheel, isn't it ??

Thanks in advance

If you've installed the driver and it is not instantly recognised when you
plug the USB into the PC, it's broken.

Not sure, but you should have a led on at all times when connected to the
PC.

The wiring of the MOMO (the 25 D-Sub connector at the wheel in particular)
is legendarily dodgy, so it's likely to be the cause of the problem. Info on
this is avaible on the net and any electronics hobbyist can fix it, but if
you have the opportunity to exchange the wheel I think you should do so.

I have the same problem.  I read a bunch of messages from others also
describing bad power connections.  It seems that recently, there has been a
large batch of defective units shipped from the China Logitech factory.
