Ramp Angle - Please Explain

Ramp Angle - Please Explain

Hi,
I have been playing GPL since it first came out and I now have the time to
actually work on setups. However, I am a little confused about the ramp
angles.  I believe that the lower the number, the more lockup, but I'm not
sure.  Is 30/30 full lockup and 85/85 full open?  Also, what types of
corners (or tracks) are better for lots of lockup or not so much lockup, or
is it just personal preference?

Thanks in advance,
Ryan

Get "Drive to Win" by Carol Smith. It explains all the things you can
set up.
A lower ramp angle means locking up sooner!

Ramp Angle - Please Explain

The first number is for the "power" side (when on throttle).  The
second number is for the "coast" side (when off throttle).  The higher
the ramp angle, the less "locked" the diff will be.  Also, with fewer
clutches, the diff will be less locked (you can't specify a different
number of power and coast clutches).  I couldn't begin to explain the
intricacies, see Carroll Smith's "Drive To Win."
