I disagree. Much courtesy was shown by including "spoiler" in the title of the
post. Since I was just about to watch the race on tape, I delayed reading the
thread. Why would you read a "spoiler" if you hadn't seen the race, anyway?

Yes it is.

Mr. Reynard actually came right out and predicted that BAR would win in
Australia!

It's tough to compete at the very highest level without a works engine.
When they get teamed up with BMW next year, I suspect they will be right
up there again.  The defection of Adrian Newey to McLaren hasn't helped
them either.

As much as I like Alex (he seems like such a nice guy), I think he is
going to have more than his hands full competing against young Ralph.
Ralph has really matured as a driver. He has been quite impressive since
about the middle of last season.  His drive at Melbourne was rock solid.

Not to mention that he hasn't been to this track b4. Even those who
had were having a lot of offs. Still, it seems the glory days of the
Williams machinery are over - temporarily at least. Will be interesting
to see if Alex can consistently outpace Ralph - if at all :)

As I have mentioned before. Villy came to Melbourne for his first GP and got
pole. I didn't expect the Williams to get pole this year but it was a top 6
contender. Starting 13th is ***and he didnt show any potential at all.
Nice bloke and I would hate to see him fail in F1 like Michael Andretti did.

Agreed. I can't wait for the days when we can watch a race by
"clicking" on which cameras WE want to view the race from.
"Interactive Coverage" like observing a GPL race as it's happening.
I did enjoy the "in car"n shots of Ralf spanking the Williams
around the course. Awesome!!

Hmmm, a pay TV channel in Germany (DF1) is already offering that. You can
choose from 6 (?) cameras. BUT, this sounds really cool in theory but I'm
not sure if you'd miss even more important scenes by being your own director.
Sometimes (too often actually) the TV directors***up horribly, but at least
you can blame them, but imagine missing a big fight between Hill and Schumacher,
landing both in the kitty litter, and you didn't see it... ;^)

For 400 FIM or 80 $ a season and 2000 FIM or 400 $ for a digital decoder I
could do it.
But I choose not.

And wasn't the "in-car" sound of the Williams just gorgeous. Why can't we get
sounds quite that good in our sims. Before anyone lectures me about the number of
decibels, I was listening to the broadcast at a pretty low volume so as not to
wake the entire household.
Cheers,
Paul

I have turned the sound of and do my own sound effects. Have to clean the spit off
the screan every so often!
