Hi,
    I finally recieved my copy of Burnout through the mail today, a nice
ending to a not so good day at work!  Anyway, I installed the software
version and then installed the v1.22 patch right away.  Setting up the
game went quite smoothly, I calibrated my T2 and setup the graphics (is
there any way to turn off those grandstands?).  Anyway, my setup was
using an automatic transmission, but when I went down the track and my
car only stayed in first gear! (no shifting at all!)  I downloaded a
couple of setups from the internet which had automatic transmissions and
the same thing happened!  The manual transmission seems to work.  It
would be nice to be able to use auto trans as an option!  Also does
anyone know where the "Class Tab" is?  I can't find it anywhere in the
game.

make sure your running 1.22. When i installed it  once, it didnt actually
apply the patch. you'll see on the main screen, on the bottom it will say
burnout 1.bla bla. That was a problem that was fixed. The class tab is when
you goto race.. and you select track, weather and stuff.. if a patch is
installed it will be there. good luck
