Which Rally Sim?

by Mark Wilson and Ginny Ta » Sun, 08 Mar 1998 04:00:00

Hi all,

I'm looking to buy a rally sim in Australia.  Screamer Rally isn't available
here yet - Int Rally Challenge is but has already been bundled into a
multipack!  Can anyone recommend a 3dfx Rally Sim (my system - 233MMX,
Canopus Pure3D, TM GP1 Steering wheel and 64M RAM) that is either available
now or coming out soon?

Thanks,
MArk Wilson

I saw copies of Screamer Rally in Harvey Norman in Chatswood yesterday.

Steve, Mark may not realize Screamer Rally is sold as
Speed Rally in Australia. Speed Rally is everywhere.

Correct guys- I had no idea it wasn't called Screamer Rally and neither did
the shop assistants I talked to!

Thanks for the advice,

Mark

Codemasters, who made TOCA, are going to release a game called
"Colin McRae Rally" sometime soon.  Looks interesting, with rally
stages that seem like the real thing, rather than IRC's "fantasy"
stages.  See www.codemasters.com

Which Rally Sim?

Is International Rally Challenge the same as International
Rally Championship by Europress? If it is, try a demo before
buying. I don't think it's much of a sim (but then again
that's just me :)).

Judging by TOCA Codemasters seem to have the hang
of good racing physics, so I would think Colin McRae
Rally will turn out good.
