papyrus with the expansion packs (and awaiting nascar racing in mid
november). The indycar racing is the best, as it sure is realistic and
the handling of the car can be adjusted all over the place. shocks,
camber, tire stagger, f/r wings, brake bias, anti roll bars, all gear
ratios, steering lock (a big help for me). I had a 25Mhz 386, a 33Mhz
486 and now a dx2-66, and the more ponies under the hood do make a big
difference in handling (ie- cpu don't get bogged down when you are in
traffic and fail to get steering/throttle input or screen reaction to
that) and the more detail off track (stands, signs and other points of
reference) helps as well. there are many different ways to get the car
going the same speed (different set-ups). I've tried some of the
availible set-ups that other people have, and I can't keep the car on the
track for 1 lap.
Just get 8Meg of memory and a cd-rom for the nascar racing that will be
out soon (and that 486dx2-66 vlb system) and you will be ready for
anything. The world circiut deal doesn't have that much to adjust, and
after you have seen indycar racing in full detail (almost full detail
with my dx2) you won't want to go back. I may get the amd dx2-80 by the
time nascar racing comes out.
