The biggest problem initially was the pedal springs. The latest springs from
TM are better (last longer) but will need replacement with heavy use, so
keep extras. They're free from TM for the asking.
I'm still on the original pots, but they do need to be cleaned periodically.
If you just spray them with contact cleaner you may dissolve the grease
inside creating a muck that coats the contact surfaces making the problem
worse. The best way to clean the pots is to take them apart and clean buy
hand with contact cleaner.
I had considered higher grade replacement pots but now believe them
unnecessary. My pots seem to get smoother with age and need cleaning less
often. Could be the contact surfaces are improving as they become polished
by friction.
I've replace the steering bungee twice with a couple tightenings in between.
Definitely a hassle but the steering has gotten smoother with age.
The shifter is a worry. I've had to resolder a broken trace on the downshift
switch circuit board twice. TM won't send shifter parts. They want you to
send the whole wheel to them for repair.
The Nascar Pro is far from bullet proof but TM is great about sending free
replacement parts, with the exception of shifter parts.
