>Hallo rick, hallo ICR fans,

>when is the release date for ICRII in europe ? Do you think, that its
>allright, that the loyal buyers of the stuff have to wait for weeks, while
>pirate dudes play the game already ?

>Ill think its a shame for papyrus to let their customers hang in the air,
>not telling any release date.

>If I had imagined that, I would have bought the game per mail in the
>states. Any tip for a store, where I can order software per www in the
>states for europe (Quick airmail prevered :-).

Don't blame Papyrus, Blame (VIE)*** in Europe, Also Rick Genter said
something in an earlier post about that licences etc have to be dealt
with in Europe so that they can use various logos etc, But it is poor all
the same that we have to wait so long to go and buy a game that has been
out for 1-4 weeks in USA and not out in Europe !!!!

The dates that I was given were as follows:

Release in US: November 17th (shipped from our warehouse on that day)
Release in UK to Europe, Asia: November 22nd (shipped from ***)

Shelf date in US: November 23rd
Shelf date in Europe, Asia: November 30th.

We hit the dates in the US; I think the Europe/Asia dates slipped a couple
of weeks, as I've seen postings here that indicate that stores in Europe
expect it on the shelves December 11th.

We shipped product to *** on schedule; I'm not sure why the release was
held up in Europe, although I know there was a problem with the on-line
registration system in some countries (Belgium, UK, Germany, Japan) for
which we had to ship a new master CD. But that was a couple of weeks ago.

zum Thema "Re: ICRII release disaster":

Does this mean, that papyrus must publish their games in europe over
*** and cant free choose a qualified distributor ?

Ill thought papyrus selected *** as their distributor, and because of
that, papyrus is the one, who is responsible.

Also papyrus have to think over, what would have been happend, if Geoff
brought out his GP2 in time. How many gamers would have waited for ICR2
and were not gone for GP2 ?

I would spend 5 bucks more per game, if the support is good. So papyrus,
dont ever get the cheapest distributor (***).
