Yo Ervins,

Seeing that you're Team OS/2 and seem to be troubled 'bout this 32-bit
thing, how come your beloved OS's VxDs are still all highly 16-bit, to
the extent that WARP (alogwith with Win 3.1 & WIN/95) is the only OS
that takes an almightily high performance hit on the P6 eh?

'fore asking Papyrus to go 64-bit & develop WARP games howz about asking
your God and cult head IBM to make the first move from 16-->>32?

7 million users aren't good enough for you? Doom and Galactic
Civilization have been ported over to OS/2 native code. A very loyal
market as well, I might add.

And the things that could be done using the multi-threading and real
multitasking will make some clever game maker a bundle to use the
most technically advanced 32-bit OS going.

here here!  when in the hell will intel learn?  even the p6 will
be 32-bit and still have some shackles from 8-bit 8088 land.

Why so small?  I guess the MacOS does hit the CPU pretty hard....

Rick, I am neither cynical nor paranoid.  I am just sick of the
8-bit DOS world that should have died years ago.

Dave, too bad you have not a clue what we are discusing.

But also I saw a Power Mac that was just about the same equipped as
mine.  Mine cost around 2,400(four months ago) and the Power Mac cost
around 4,000(Just this week).  So mine would be worth around
1,500-1,700 now.  If your willing to shell that kind of money and wait
and extra quarter of the year to get Indycar II then I guess that would
be good for ya.

Hi Byron.  It 'seemed' that you were discussing the P6's problem
with 8 and 16 bit processing.  It 'seemed' you were claimng Nascar to be
a 16 bit program and therefore a slug on a P6.  The Papyrus Rick guy
'seemed' to say that Nascar is a 32 bit code engine.  Seems either you
were wrong or I cain't read.  If Nascar is really a 32bit program then it
should do quite well on the P6.
