The checkbox seems to be reversed: with it checked, the sound field is
narrow and the freq range like that of an Internet telephone.  With it
UNchecked, the whole aural experience opens up...including thru the rear
speakers.  Try it; you'll like it.

Ouch, I thought I'd read nForce. Still, newer drivers can't hurt.

The arm - doing ok so far. May need another operation in 6 weeks because
I tore ligaments in the wrist, and they didn't fix that the first time
around (apparently they restricted themselves to the major damage in
that session). Will see.

Regarding the email, try the web.de or the yahoo address I created
specifically for you!

Joel sent me an email recently, he seems to be preparing for the moment
when I can type again :)
