Anyhoo, I'm going to answer this at least semi-seriously for some weird
reason...
No, F1 is not for wimps[sic]. It's ***y hard work. Having said that,
I don't believe it's hard enough these days - there are *far* too many
"driver aids" (horrible term). Jean Alesi is the only driver left on
the grid who's driven with a manual 'box at Monaco - now *that's* hard.
They need to get rid of a lot of the gizmos. Saying "oh, we can't
police it" is a huge and feeble cop-out - it's akin to giving up on
drug testing in athletics or letting corruption run wild(er) in
cricket. It's just not a good enough excuse.
NASCAR is great for those who want wheelbanging action (though Jason
Plato seems to be trying to recreate this single-handed in the
BTCC...), and I approve of its existence. Just don't try to make out
it's some kind of world-class international series, 'cause it ain't.
