Did you get "the fix"?  Make a "vroc.ini" file inside your
"VROC/WinVROC" that consists of the following:

[VROC]
Address=209.53.20.177

"But in a way, fear is a big part of racing, because if there was
nothing to be frightened of, and no limit, any fool could get into
a motor car and racing would not exist as a sport." -- Jim Clark

Just to make things perfectly clear...

Hi, I have the same problem but have done what you mentioned here Jeff makes
no differenv=ce to me. The thing I see on VROC is a screen showing the
server details which shows that the version of GPL I have is incompatible.
I'm running 1.2.  and have uninstalled and reinstalled both GPL and
WinVroc...frustration does'nt cover  my reactions...spent over 3 hours
tonight trying to figure this ourt and have come up against a brick wall..

I posted here recently to try and establish the version of GPL that I have.
It would appear to be US version  since the Uk patch would not work , but
does anyone know for sure how to check the version..can't find it anywhere..

I really would like a online race ....

About 1/2 way across the bottom of the WinVroc window is should show
the version of GPL you are using.  Does it say something to the effect
of "1.2.0.0.1"? (doing that from memory, could be slightly different)

I recall that people have experienced when the VROC setting for the
location is incorrect.  Even if the entry field says the right
location, click the browse button and cruise throught your disk drive
until you locate GPL and then save.  There seems to be instances where
WinVroc doesn't "take" the path if it's typed in, but does when you
select it via the "Browse" button.
