Also, does anyone know how to change the damage model for the AI cars - they
seem to get away with some awful incidents whereas my car gets obliterated.

AFAIK, there's no official pack, and probably will never be. That's not to say
you're stuck with the original 11, however:
The product that you've seen discussed a lot here recently is Dave Noonan's
track converter, which costs UKP15 and can be found here:
http://www.sim-garage.co.uk/
This is from DN's description of the program:
There is a free demo version available from the site, which converts Phoenix
and Loudon from ICR2/CART, and Hickory, Homestead, Loudon and Watkins Glen from
N2. These demo tracks have no flag marshals and less good AI.
The latest "proper" (ie authentic) track for GPL is Snetterton, which has been
produced by the GPLEA, and is available for FREE download here:
http://www.gpl.netti.nu/snetterton/download/snettload.html
Please read their readme (twice!) before downloading, or it probably won't work
properly.
The other place to get tracks (and a superb resource in any case - bookmark it
now!) is The US Pits, which you can find here:
http://www.theuspits.com/owheel/gpl/gpl.html
Here you can find Dave Noonan's free tracks, as follows:
Dubai (a made-up track)
Brands Hatch
Oesterreichring
I think that's it (phew!)
There doesn't appear to be a page that has links to all of these (why the heck
doesn't the US Pits carry a link to the GPLEA's Snetterton page - or is that
another "GPaL comment"? ;-) ), so keep an eye out on this NG!

Just thought I would point out there is actually a Dubai GP track; though it
bears very little resemblance to DN's track. Go here for a map of the real
track...
http://www.silhouet.com/motorsport/tracks/dubai.html
So really the GPL Dubai is something like the mock BTCC/STW/Aussie Supercar
tracks for TPTCC.
