Please post how to edit the .VEH file to keep the poly count
and wheels the same! Thanks for the great info.

Ok
First off I'd like to give credit to Kimbo for this information when it
related to Sports Car GT.

Go into f1200\seasons\vehicles

Make a copy of GenVeh03.prt and put it someplace safe (in case
something goes wrong)

Go back to the original GeVeh03.prt and open it.

Under Instance=SLOT, delete the following (entire) 3 lines (just under
slot, not under the tire files)
objfile=virvb................
objfile=virvc................
objfile=virvd................
you will now only have the lines for virva, virv, and virshad. (tab
them up so there are no spaces between the remaining lines)

Ok?

Now just change the numbers in parenthesis on the virva (only) line to:
LODIn=(0.0)
LODMid=(0.0)
LODOut=(250)

You have just changed all cars to full detail ALL the time  You will
especially notice a difference during the replays. (not much time to
look while your racing)

In order for this to work make sure you have your and the other cars
detail settings set to maximum.

I've gotta get some sleep, I'll post the tire info in the morning ;)

I'm awake now......here is the 3D tire fix:

Open the same GenVeh03.prt file
(make another backup too)

This time you will be editing the 4 tire files (LFTIRE,RFTIRE,RRTIRE
and LRTIRE)
You will do the exact same thing to all 4

Under Child=LFTIRE:
Delete the entire VIRTLFB and VIRTLFC lines. (tab the remaining lines
up so there are no spaces)

Now go ahead and change the numbers in the first line to:
LODIn (0.0)
LODMid(3.5)
LODOut(80.0)

Thats it!

Just do the same for the remaining tires.
(each tire uses slightly different VIR names, but just delete the
second 2 lines for each which are the first b, and c lines)
as in the first example you will be left with 3 lines for each which
all end in A,A,B

Let me know how it works for you

Have fun!
