ICR add-ons: What kind of tracks?

by Pasi P Ahopel » Sun, 12 Jun 1994 18:19:28

I know Indy 500, but thanks to not-so-good TV-coverage of Indycar races
in Finland I'm not familiar with the tracks on Seven track pak (sp?).
What kind of tracks are on that add-on?  Short description is
sufficient, like 1 mile oval, fast road track, temporary street, etc.

Thanks in advance.

Tracks included in IndyCar 7 Track Pack

Burke Lakefront Airport (Cleveland, Ohio)

This is just what the name implies, a course laid out on an airport.
Very wide and flat, the 2.4 mile layout is rather boring but the
billiard table flat surface makes it quite a challenge to find your
way around.  Plenty of room for passing!

Surfers Paradise (Queensland, Australia)

A 2.8 mile temperary street course.  I haven't run this one
        much.

Phoenix International Raceway (Phoenix, Arizona)

A very fast one mile oval.

Belle Isle Park (Detroit, Michigan)

Belle Isle is a 2.1 mile temperary road course set up on an island
in the Detroit River.  Very twisty and tight, it's pretty
        difficult to pass here.

Road America (Elkart Lake, Wisconsin)

A very fast 4 mile natural terrain road course.  A very nice
road course but you'll need over 4Meg to run it.  They say 8M
but I've run it with 5M.

Mid-Ohio (Lexington, Ohio)

I bought the track pack for this one.  It's my "home" track
and I love it.   A twisty 2.25 mile natural terrain road
course with some very challanging elevation changes.

Pacific Place (Vancouver, British Columbia)

A tight 1.7 mile street course with some purpose built
sections.   This one has some very tight turns and some very
        fast sweepers.

Along with the tracks you get a utility for editing your saved
replays.
