LOL. I kinda guessed I'd get a few die-hard fans replying to this
posting :)
As I've mentioned in another reply, I did eventually reach the point
when I had ALL the help options turned off. To me, at least, it still
felt like driving on rails.
OK, in comparison to GPL, this is a fair assumption, because of the
difference in nature between the eras (no aero downforce vs loads of
it).
However, it 'felt' to much.
Having said all this, GP2 was (and still is in a way) a classic, no
disagrement there. I felt F1RS had a better, more accurate model (as
suggested also by Nick Heidfeld, Jean Alesi and HHF somewhere...)
[Mind you, GP2 had a MUCH nicer user interface, cool intro tune, and
in general better layout. The default telemetry tool was much better
than the F1RS one. Only when someone else wrote their own telemetry
tool could any useful setup work be done in F1RS. What is it about
French computer products and 'weird' interfaces]
He he. Things haven't really got THAT much better. I've been taken out
a few times in GPL that way.
Mind you, who said that human players are any better at not doing this
;)
