2.8Ghz, hm, well WSC better be out in a year then, since then we'll be

GPL "High Speed CPU" Patch?

Tom, the reason is simple. The GF3 is an amazing card and I'd love to
have it. And allthough I do have the money to buy it, it's
ridiculously overpriced and I refuse to pay more money for my gfx card
than I did for my motherboard. I think most people will wait a bit for
the price to drop to a normal, for most people affordable level.

Tom likes to pontificate, it makes him feel important.

hmmm, 2800? Where did that come from?
I belive the fix should be sufficient until pcs are at
least 4 billion times faster than current machines.

Typical short-sighted programmer. How are we going to run GPL then? ;-)

GPL "High Speed CPU" Patch?

Francois.....

Read the "post I replied to" again.  It does not define "what the bug is."
That is what I was asking information about.  Chill out, man.

Tom

PS:  However, I do remember your propensity to start "flame wars" on r.a.s.
and on Jacobs newsgroup....seems you are ***ed to them.  So, being a good
friend of yours, I'd like to help you out as follows (...lol...):

Talk about "Geeze ***y Christ," Francois.....what the hell do you care
"what or why" I need to know something?  When were you appointed the
"gatekeeper" of information on R.A.S.?  I don't recall you even running for
that position, did you?  And, what the hell is a "McFlurry" anyway?  Is that
something "gays and caboose drivers" drink?  Its gotta be something like
that if you are using the term!  ......[ok...the ball is in your court, go
man!]

oem GF3 64 MB = 286
ELSA GF3 64 MB = 303

ELSA GF2 Ultra 64 MB = 273
Creative Labs GF2 GTS 32 MB = 220

not too bad I think.
