Hi all,
I would like to add some decals on my Eagle. Bit if i try to convert the
bmp-file back into a mip-file, I got the message: Sorry, use 16 colours.
I know that GPL uses 16 colours, but how can I manage it, to add the
decals. I saw some paintings at Turn1-GPL with decals that had other
colours then the car.
I tried to add the decal with the Paintshop-adjustments from GPL, but
the decal I wanted to add, had only the same colour as the car. Did I
increase the numbers of colours, I got the above mentioned message.
Any help would be great.
Cheers
Dirk

Invest in a better paint package, I have Photoshop 4.01 and it is a dream, I
use ANY colours I want, then convert it to 16 colours, and it chooses the
nearest one for me, and they always look good! Other than that I really
can't help!

With my GPLBatch program you can convert 24-bit bmps to 16-bit mips (65536
colors).

Get it at http:// members.aol.com/winmip

PSP works fine.
Just save the "converted mip"-palette and apply it to your new
decal. choose "nearest color matching".
if the decal looks good then, paste it into your "converted mip".
